Com Dev Europe, a subsidiary of Canadian satellite component provider Com Dev, said it has received authorization to proceed on what it characterized as sophisticated radiofrequency equipment for a major international satellite manufacturer.

The authorization allows the company to begin executing on a contract that Com Dev Europe said is worth over 12 million euros ($15.7 million), the company said in a May 1 press release. The work will take place at Com Dev’s Aylesbury, United Kingdom, facility and is expected to be completed in about 30 months.

Com Dev said more details will be released once the formal contract is signed in the coming weeks.
