Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Solutions of Gaithersburg, Md., will continue to provide mission operations support to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston through September 2014 under a $166.8 million contract extension, the NASA field center announced April 25.

The extension increases the total value of Lockheed Martin’s Facilities Development and Operations Contract to $1 billion.

The majority of the work will take place at or near Johnson, where Lockheed Martin is responsible for supporting the hardware, software, data and display systems used to train for and execute human spaceflight missions.
