NASA Administrator Charles Bolden announced May 11 that Geoff Yoder will take over as director of the $8.8 billion James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) program effective June 30. He is replacing Rick Howard, who is retiring from NASA on that date.
Yoder is currently the director of the Office of Evaluation at NASA headquarters,responsible for assessing NASA programs, projects and institutions. He previously served as deputy director of NASA’s Astrophysics Division.
