The U.S. Air Force awarded a $1.1 billion, cost-plus-incentive-fee contract to United Launch Alliance (ULA) for space launch-services and support, the Department of Defense said June 30.
The award, which supports the Air Force’s Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle program, runs from July 1 to Sept. 30, 2012, the Defense Department said in a statement.
Work under the contract will be done in Littleton, Colo., where ULA is headquartered, and the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, in Florida, according to the statement.
