NASA picked three Washington-area firms — AECOM, HDR Architecture and SmithGroup — to provide architect and engineer services under fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts not to exceed a combined $15 million, NASA announced June 29.

NASA plans to call on the firms during the next five years to provide engineering and design services for various types of facilities that could be constructed at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., the Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia’s eastern shore, remote tracking stations and other such facilities overseen by Goddard.
