The Return to Flight of the Space Shuttle (STS-114) is scheduled for launch on July 13 from the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. Canada is playing a critical role during this mission by providing an inspection boom developed by MDA and laser camera built by Neptec. The extended Canadarm and specialized camera will be deployed during flight to examine the outer surfaces of the Space Shuttle.
In order to give media representatives as much information as possible before the launch, experts from the Canadian Space Agency, MDA, and Neptec will take part in a technical briefing for the media on Monday, June 27, 2005, in Brampton, Ontario. This briefing will be available from the Canadian Space Agency headquarters in Longueuil via videoconference. CSA spokespersons will also be on site to answer questions and grant interviews.
