Saint-Hubert, April 20, 2001- The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) invites media
representatives to participate in the only press conference allowing them to
interview CSA Astronaut Chris Hadfield and STS-100 Commander Kent Rominger
live from the International Space Station. The press conference will take
place on Friday, April 27, 2001 beginning at 3:11 p.m. EDT (TBC) at the CSA
in Saint-Hubert. Media should be on site in Saint-Hubert by 2:45 p.m. EDT.

Media representatives are asked to confirm their attendance before
Wednesday, April 25, at noon (EDT) by forwarding the following information
to the CSA: name, phone number, e-mail address, affiliation, as well as the
question they plan to ask (since the press conference will be limited to 8
minutes, the latter information is required to ensure that Col. Hadfield is
not asked the same question twice).

Given the short duration of the press conference, only a limited number of
media will have the opportunity to ask questions. However, all media are
invited to participate, whether at the CSA or via NASA TV by logging on to
the NASA TV satellite on GE-2, Transponder 9C at 85 degrees West longitude,
vertical polarization, with a frequency of 3880 MHz and audio of 6.8 MHz. In
addition, CSA spokespersons will be available for interviews at the Johnson
Space Center in Houston, Texas, at the CSA’s headquarters in Saint-Hubert,
Quebec, and by phone upon request.
