NASA said Feb. 3 it will exercise a second one-year option with Houston-based Bastion Technologies Inc. to continue to support the U.S. space agency’s Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala.
The $36 million extension keeps Bastion on the job through Jan. 31, 2011 and increases the current potential value of the contract to $136 million. Remaining unexercised options could extend the contract through 2017, with a total potential value of more than $376 million, NASA said.
