NASA selected Washington-based O’Donnell Construction Co. to build a $9 million shipping and receiving facility at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., the U.S. space agency said May 18.
The 9,100-square-meter Logistics Facility will consist of a one-story high bay and low bay shipping and receiving area and a two-story warehouse area, according to NASA. The fixed-price contract also calls for O’Donnell Construction to make improvements to three nearby roads and install lighting at the new facility and Goddard’s main parking lot.
Construction is expected to be completed within 515 days of NASA issuing the formal orders to proceed.
