Science Systems and Applications, Lanham, Md., got a contract from NASA to provide scientific support services to the agency’s Global Modeling and Assimilation Office.

The contract runs from Feb. 1 to Jan. 31, 2017 and is worth up to $47 million, NASA said in a Dec. 22 press release. Contract work includes development, operation and maintenance of modeling, assimilation and forecast systems, including support for scientific research and development, project management and the development and maintenance of operational capabilities, NASA said.

NASA’s Global Modeling and Assimilation Office is part of the Earth Sciences division of the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.
