Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) of San Diego stands to receive as much as $62.7 million over the next 14 months under a NASA information technology contract extension announced Jan. 31.

SAIC has supported the NASA Information Technology Services Network since 2004 under a $1.4 billion contract overseen by the agency’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. The contract extension adds at least eight months and $36.4 million to SAIC’s Unified NASA Information Technology Services contract. Options could extend the period of performance to March 31, 2012.
