The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) invites media
to take part in the following activities leading up to CSA Astronaut Chris
Hadfield’s mission to install Canadarm2 on the International Space Station.

Please note that the time of these events may change.

April 16 (L-3)

10:30 am EDT (TBC): STS-100 crew arrives at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC)
in Florida in T-38 planes. Photo-op and brief comments from crewmembers.
Canadian media on site may register to view the event (media at KSC must be
present at 9:30 am EDT).

9:00-10:00 am EDT (TBC): NASA Countdown Status Briefing at KSC.
Media are invited to view the briefing at either KSC or the CSA. Media at
KSC may ask questions. CSA spokespersons will be available for comments at
both locations.

April 17 (L-2)

10:00 am EDT (TBC): ISS Partners Briefing, including the CSA’s Manager,
Canadian Space Station Program, Alain Dubeau.

4:00-5:00 pm EDT (TBC): NASA Launch Readiness Review (including the status
of Canadarm2) at KSC.
Media are invited to view the briefings at either KSC or the CSA. Media at
KSC may ask questions. CSA spokespersons will be available for comments at
both locations.

At the CSA, Executive Vice-President Marc Garneau will be available for
interviews upon request from 10:00-11:30 am EDT (TBC) and from 4:00-5:30 pm
EDT (TBC).
April 18, 2001 (L-1)
9:00-10:00 am EDT (TBC): NASA Countdown Status Briefing at KSC.

Media are invited to view the briefing at either KSC or the CSA. Media at
KSC may ask questions. CSA spokespersons will be available for comments at
both locations.

At the CSA, Executive Vice-President Marc Garneau will be available for
comments following the briefing.

The most recent information on the mission, as well as the CSA’s Media Book,
computer animations of the mission, short video clips and photos are

Events at the Kennedy Space Center will be broadcast live on NASA TV
(transponder 9C of the GE-2 satellite at 85 degrees West longitude, vertical
polarization frequency 3880 MHz, audio 6.8 MHz).
