Florida Today reports that NASA astronaut Mark Kelly, husband of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), who remains in serious condition after being shot in the head Jan. 8, remains undecided as to whether he will serve as commander on the last flight of Space Shuttle Endeavour as currently planned.

The source for the story is NASA astronaut Scott Kelly, commander aboard the international space station and Mark Kelly’s brother.

“‘It’s a decision that he’ll make in consultation with the astronaut office and other folks at NASA,’ Scott Kelly said. ‘There are a lot of things to consider, but I think he’ll make the right decision. I think it will also weigh what Gabby would want in this scenario. I think we’ll know something about that in a couple weeks, within a few weeks from now.’”
