Inmarsat has snagged two executives, Tim Johnson and David Wigglesworth, from Iridium Communications to add to its marketing group, the London-based mobile satellite services provider announced.
Johnson has been tapped to head Inmarsat’s Enterprise Market Strategy group. He had been executive director of Iridium’s Land-Mobile Business since 2013. There he developed the global distribution strategy for handheld products and services, and oversaw $150 million in land-mobile revenue. Johnson has held several senior sales and marketing positions at Iridium.
Wigglesworth will be leading Inmarsat’s Machine-to-Machine (M2M) division. Prior to joining Inmarsat, he was vice president and general manager of Iridium’s Americas & Global M2M Services. As such he managed the company’s global strategy for its M2M business. He began that position in 2013. Since 2001, he has held senior positions with Iridium’s M2M division. Before joining Iridium, Wigglesworth held several positions in sales and marketing at Certia, Orbcomm and American Mobile Satellite.
