Columbia, Md.-based Honeywell Technology Solutions, said June 6 it has been awarded a $96 million contract to perform safety and mission assurance services for NASA.
Under the terms of the contract, Honeywell will provide safety and mission assurance support under direction of the NASA Safety Center, which is located at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.
Honeywell’s contract is for services at NASA’s Washington headquarters and agency field centers across the country. Honeywell also will do procedural audits for NASA programs, projects and suppliers, the company said in a press release.
Honeywell was already performing contract assurance services for NASA. The latest award adds “compliance verification of safety and mission assurance requirements” to Honeywell’s list of oversight functions, the company said.
“This contract signifies increasing levels of responsibility for Honeywell as we continue in our shared pursuit of excellence in meeting NASA’s mission objectives,” Vince Trim, president of Honeywell Technology Solutions, said in the statement.
