GVF, the global association of the satellite industry, has announced the launch of its new website and marketing re-branding to coincide with the opening of SATELLITE 2019 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Centre in Washington D.C. on Monday, 6th May 2019.
GVF, as the voice of the industry since 1997, will once again – in collaboration with its partner training development and delivery company, SatProf – be exhibiting at the show (Booth #1652) and Secretary-General David Meltzer will moderate ‘WRC-19: What’s at Stake for the Satellite Industry?’ in room 150, starting at 13:45 hours (1.45pm) on Wednesday 8th May. Mr Meltzer will manage a one-hour dialogue between Charles Glass, Chief, International Spectrum Policy Division, National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA); Jennifer Manner, Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, EchoStar Corporation; Hazem Moakkit, Vice President, Corporate and Spectrum Strategy, Intelsat US LLC; Kenneth Turner, Deputy Director, Spectrum Policy and Programs, U.S. Department of Defense Chief Information Office; and, Leonardo Euler de Morais, President, Anatel.
Referencing the new website and branding, David Meltzer commented, “GVF’s new website and our heightened and refreshed branding will serve to enhance the value of membership for those organizations which engage with our many varied initiatives and programmes, and also bring an elevated level of international attention to the role of GVF in contributing its resources to guide the industry in focusing on key evolving issues impacting the communications and other commercial satellite applications environments.”
Mr Meltzer also noted “Our online presence is a key informational portal through which our members and other key industry stakeholders can be kept apprised of GVF’s leadership in advocacy with the global regulatory community on behalf of the industry. Our enhanced online presence will better enable our members from around the world take advantage of online and classroom training, industry conferences, and industry working groups on topics that include international regulatory matters, sustainable space operations, and disaster relief.”
Irina Petrov, GVF’s recently appointed Vice President for Marketing & Member Services, who will join David Meltzer in representing GVF at SATELLITE 2019, added, “I have been a strong supporter of GVF since its inception and having recently joined the association as a full-time staff member I have been pleased to contribute to the coordination of this next step in the development of GVF’s online presence and its new branding profile. Now already into its third decade, GVF has recently entered a period of new leadership and it is only fitting that we have a revised and complementary identity.”
