The Tauri Group of Alexandria, Va., knocked off longtime incumbent Futron Corp. of Bethesda, Md., to win a contract worth up to $6.2 million to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Commercial Space Transportation.
The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract calls for the Tauri Group to provide analytical services in support of the launch reports, market forecasts and other publications the FAA’s Office of Commercial Space Transportation produces throughout the year. Tauri also will maintain the FAA’s Space Transportation Analysis and Research database and support the Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee.
The contract, which begins June 1, has a one-year base period of performance. A series of options could extend the deal through May 2015. FAA spokesman James Stasny said the contract was awarded May 18.
