The Canadian Space Agency invites media
representatives to consult its Website for an updated version of the Mission
STS-97 Media Book with background on CSA Astronaut Marc Garneau’s third
mission to space on November 30.

The Mission Media Book, found at www.space.gc.ca/mediazone, contains a
Mission STS-97 profile, information on the International Space Station, a
description of the tasks and responsibilities of Marc Garneau and his
crewmates, as well as interesting facts ranging from solar panels to
astronaut meals.

Space for kids

In the KidSpace section of the CSA Website, updated daily during the
Mission, young people will have access to the latest information and will be
offered different activities throughout the mission that will teach them
about space, solar energy and astrophysics.

Webcast: a behind-the-scenes look at STS-97

Students across the country will learn about CSA Astronaut Marc Garneau’s
third flight to space. As Astronaut Garneau will be preparing for launch,
his colleague, CSA Astronaut Chris Hadfield, will give an insider’s point of
view on what astronauts go through before a space mission.

The presentation will be broadcast on November 30, 2000 on the SchoolNet/CSA
Web page at 1:05 p.m. EST: www.space.gc.ca.
