LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC–(Marketwire – July 9, 2007) – Media representatives are invited to join Julie Payette for the briefing on Dave Williams’ role and the Canadian contribution to mission STS-118. Journalists on site at the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) can also take part in the live broadcast of the Johnson Space Center (JSC) crew news conference in Houston and will have an opportunity to take part in the question period.

Canadian Space Agency astronaut Dave Williams embarks on his second space voyage, mission STS-118. With Williams aboard, Space Shuttle Endeavour is scheduled to launch from Kennedy Space Center in Florida on August 7, 2007.
On this mission, Dave Williams will perform three of the four planned spacewalks. His extravehicular activities include contributing to the assembly of the Space Station by installing the S5 truss segment and performing PMDIS, a Canadian experiment.
