In hopes of getting more young people excited about science, NASA is partnering with publisher Tor-Forge to develop a line of science fiction books, Wired reports.
The space agency will pair its “space geeks” with Tor-Forge writers to create “NASA Inspired Works of Fiction,” a line of books intended to spark interest in engineering, mathematics, technology and science, the article says.
Nona Cheeks, director of Innovative Partnerships at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, said in a statement, “This agreement will benefit the public, as we look for innovative ways to communicate our past and current achievements, while focusing on the needs of the future.”
