The chairman of the U.S. House Appropriations commerce, justice, science subcommittee is reintroducing a bill to alter the management structure of NASA.

Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) announced April 29 he was introducing the Space Leadership Preservation Act, whose provisions include giving the NASA administrator a 10-year term and establishing a board of directors, appointed by Congress and the White House, to oversee the agency. Culberson and others in the House have introduced similar legislation in previous years, but failed to win passage.
