Longueuil, Quebec, May 13, 2010 — On Friday, May 14, 2010, at 10:45 am EDT, Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Julie Payette, joined by over 150 students from the Marie-Victorin School Board, will officially open the Cosmomania exhibit. Produced by the Cite de l’espace in Toulouse, France, the CSA has brought this unique exhibit to celebrate, with Canadians across the nation, its 20th anniversary. Cosmomania will take visitors back in time and go through 50 years of space exploration.
The exhibit will showcase a replica of a lunar leg designed by Heroux-Devtek in Longueuil, of the Lunar Excursion Module (LEM) for the very first Apollo mission to the Moon in 1969.
Media are invited to attend the unveiling event.
