Saint-Hubert, Québec, October 15, 2001 – Canadian Space Agency Astronaut
Chris Hadfield, our nation’s first space walker, returns to Canada for the
first time since his assignment to Russia.

In April this year, Colonel Chris Hadfield made the first historic space
walk by a Canadian, spending 14 hours, 54 minutes outside the Space Station.
In that space walk, he installed the newest icon in Canadian space
technology, Canadarm2, on the International Space Station.

Following his successful mission, he was assigned as NASA Director of
Operations at Star City in Moscow where he coordinates and directs
International Space Station Expedition Crew activities.

Representatives of the media are invited to attend any of the events listed
