Following the General Meeting of Shareholders on April 12, 2013 in Evry, near Paris, Arianespace announced net income of O1.7 million for 2012 on sales of O1,329 million.

Despite the contrasted market conditions, Arianespace enjoyed a remarkable year in 2012 in terms of both number of launches and orders booked.

Arianespace continued to confirm its world leadership in the launch services market, with seven Ariane 5 launches orbiting 12 commercial satellites plus the ATV3 Edoardo Amaldi supply vessel for the International Space Station, along with three Soyuz launches (two from the Guiana Space Center in French Guiana and one from Baikonur, Kazakhstan), and the first launch of Vega. It also signed 13 launch contracts out of the total of 18 open to competition.

Since the start of this year, Arianespace has already signed a contract with Eutelsat for the launch of two satellites, a contract with Australian operator NBN for the launch of two satellites, and a contract with Intelsat for three launches.

Arianespace plans six Ariane 5 launches in 2013 (including one already performed), along with three launches of Soyuz from CSG (in addition to a Soyuz launch from Baikonur, already performed) and one Vega launch.
