Inmarsat plc today announced that Global Xpress (GX) service, is available from approved “Inmarsat for Enterprise” partners. GX offers high-speed global mobile broadband communications powered by three Ka-band satellites for a range of land-based applications which span industries including: aid and development, oil and gas, media, energy, transport and logistics.

In addition, Global RadioData Communication Ltd (GRC), one of the UK’s leading suppliers of satellite services, working with Network Innovations (NI), a leading Inmarsat partner, becomes the first company to have an Enterprise commercial GX terminal go live commercially. The Global Xpress solution is deployed in Africa for a major mining organisation and utilises GRC’s Scytale mobile communication system to provide secure, reliable and flexible communications from the field to anywhere on the planet.
