The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) will participate in the 65th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) taking place in Toronto from September 29 to October 3, 2014.
The IAC is the premier and most comprehensive annual space conference in the world covering all areas of space activities. It is expected to attract up to 3000 international participants from industry, academia and government. In addition to plenary and technical sessions, the IAC includes a large-scale exhibition where countries showcase their national capabilities and interests, and industries promote their products and services. Operating under the theme “Our World Needs Space,” this year’s Congress is hosted by the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute (CASI).

The CSA will be participating in and organizing events open to the media during the week.
Please note that media representatives need to register for the conference in order to be admitted to the Congress.

Monday, September 29

9:00 a.m. – IAC Opening ceremony will feature CSA astronauts Jeremy Hansen and David Saint-Jacques as Masters of Ceremony. The event will feature a presentation by Chris Hadfield and a performance by the Cirque du Soleil.

Wednesday, October 1

1:30 p.m. – Jeremy Hansen to address to a select audience of academia, business and special interest groups at DRDC.
