Longueuil, Quebec, July 7, 2006 – Mathieu Caron, one of the eight Flight Controllers at the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) Mission Control Center, will have the unique responsibility to send commands to relocate the Mobile Transporter on the International Space Station (ISS). Upon receiving these commands from Longueuil, the Mobile Transporter will move along the ISS truss. Media representatives are invited to the CSA to witness this “premiere”. Danielle Cormier, Flight Controller, will be on-site to comment on the live robotic activities. This will be the first time Flight controllers at the CSA send commands to move equipment on the ISS during a shuttle mission.
