Longueuil, Quebec, November 4, 2004 -NASA Administrator Sean O’Keefe will
take part in a bilateral meeting on November 9 with the president of the
Canadian Space Agency (CSA), Marc Garneau. In this meeting, Mr. O’Keefe will
accredit the CSA’s Mission Control Centre. He will also present NASA Space
Flight Awards to CSA employees who have demonstrated excellence.

The Mission Control Centre is equipped with an operations control room,
networking equipment, audio and video equipment, and software that support
NASA in the operation and maintenance of the special Canadian robotic system
on the International Space Station. The centre monitors and analyzes the
operations of this system, provides training for crew and ground personnel,
as well as logistics and real-time operations support.
