MEI Technologies Inc. of Houston will continue to provide electrical engineering services to NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., through May 8, 2013, under a six-month contract extension the U.S. space agency announced Nov. 19.
NASA said the extension, which went into effect Nov. 9, increases the value of MEI Technologies’ indefinite-delivery, indefinite quantity Electrical Systems Engineering Services contract by nearly $50 million, bringing the total value to $238 million.
Task orders under the contract support a wide range of Goddard-managed projects including the Global Precipitation Measurement mission, the Magnetospheric MultiScale mission, the Landsat Data Continuity Mission, the James Webb Space Telescope and the Soil Moisture Active-Passive mission, among others.
