The U.S. Senate confirmed March 26 U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Janet Wolfenbarger for promotion, making her the first female four-star general in Air Force history.
Wolfenbarger, who currently serves as the military deputy in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, will serve as the next commander of Air Force Materiel Command. A change of command ceremony is schedule for June 5 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
