Raytheon Co., has been awarded an $11.9 million contract by the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., to provide material and technical services to the United States and 11 other nations that use Raytheon’s Patriot system for air and missile defense, the Tewskbury, Mass., company said March 17.

The award modifies a three-year contract Raytheon was awarded in January 2008 for the Patriot Air and Missile Defense System. The new work, which includes continued support of the manufacture, assembly and testing of patriot missiles, will be performed at several Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems facilities in Massachusetts, at Red River Army Depot in Texarkana, Texas, and at the Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pa.
