SES World Skies U.S. Government Services was awarded two new contract vehicles from the U.S. General Services Administration and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) that will allow it to provide a range of satellite communications services to the government users, the company announced Jan. 13.

McLean, Va.-based SES was awarded two indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contracts under the new Future Comsatcom Services Acquisition (FCSA) program, the press release said. The FCSA program replaces the General Services Administration’s Satcom 2 contract and DISA’s Inmarsat and Defense Satellite Transmission Services-Global contracts, and will give military and civil government agencies more flexibility in purchasing commercial satellite communications services.
