An official red carpet welcome of the first Russian visiting crew (VC-1)
to the International Space Station took place. The representatives of
the state structures, Ministry of Defense of Russia, cosmonauts, industry
specialists and people of the Star City offered warm congratulations
on Talgat Musabaev, Yuri Baturin and Dennis Tito with a successful accomplishment
of an eight-day space flight program. Among the receiving persons were
E.M. Primkov, Deputy of State Duma, leader of OVR fraction, S.V. Stepashin,
Chair of Counting Chamber of RF, S.A. Imandosov, Adviser of the Kazakhstan
Embassy in RF, major-general and other officials, representatives of
departments and organizations.
The cosmonauts laid flowers at the monument of the first cosmonaut Yuri
Gagarin.
The VC-1 members shared their impressions about the mission. They appreciated
all mission preparation and support personnel for high-professional,
streamlined work that ensured the flight program implementation and
safe return to the ground.
