The U.S. National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) will extend by three months its imagery purchasing arrangement with satellite operator DigitalGlobe, the company announced March 11.
The NGA’s current service level agreement with Longmont, Colo.-based DigitalGlobe provides for imagery purchases of up to $12.5 million a month from the company’s WorldView-1 satellite through the end of March. The NGA exercised an option to extend that contract through June, and the agency has six more one-month options that could extend the contract through the end of the year.
