The state and the private sector are aware of the benefits of the space sector and are investing in research and new space technologies and services. Lithuania has a sufficiently strong potential in information technology, microelectronics and optoelectronics, mechatronics, lasers, biotechnology, and other fields of science. Lithuania may not only use but also develop high value added services and space technology’, – said Marius Skarupskas, Vice-Minister of Economy.
Particular attention will be given to the Lithuanian students. Some registered classes will be able to attend special tours, led by Lithuanian space satellite “Lituanica SAT-1” developers Vytenis Buzas and Laurynas Ma.
