A solemn ceremony of opening the memorial plaque attached to the house, in
which the academician V.P. Mishin, the first Deputy Chief Designer of OKB-1
after S.P. Korolev, the Chief Designer of TsKBEM (1966 through 1974) had
lived during 1951 through 1955, was held.
The ceremony was attended by the managers and representatives from the team
of RSC Energia (OKB-1, TsKBEM during 1946 through 1974), the public of
Korolev, the Corporation’s veterans, the relatives of Vasiliy Pavlovich
Mishin. The academician’s associates, pilot-cosmonauts, representatives from
the Administration of Korolev, his relatives addressed briefly the meeting.
The ceremony concluded with laying the flowers at the memorial plaque.
