MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA – News), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today it has signed a multi-million dollar contract with The Boeing Company to refurbish an existing communications system component for use on the International Space Station (ISS) as a spare. This advanced technology solution is a core component of the ISS communication system that provides video, and data delivery links between the ISS and Earth.

MDA has previously provided to Boeing two spare communication subsystems designed to provide critical voice and data links between astronauts on-board the ISS and Earth.
