MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd.
announced today that the company has entered into an agreement with
the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to undertake a study which evaluates an
innovative, low cost tandem topographic mission with RADARSAT-2. The total
value of the contract is $300,000 (CDN).

The Study builds on the work performed in prior contracts to analyse the
feasibility, operational effectiveness and affordability of such a mission.

The Canadian Space Agency has already funded specific modifications to
the RADARSAT-2 spacecraft to support a tandem topographic mission with a
second spacecraft.
