To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their Miles & More® frequent flyer program, Lufthansa Airlines has partnered with Space Adventures, Ltd. to offer its members the opportunity of winning a Zero-Gravity Flight. Miles & More is Europe’s largest frequent flyer program with more than seven million members worldwide.
“Space Adventures’ opportunity to experience weightlessness is the perfect thank you for our Miles & More members’ continued support and loyalty over the past ten years,” said Markus Pauly, Lufthansa Miles & More General Manager.
“We are proud to be part of Lufthansa’s 10 year celebration. Our Zero-Gravity flight will give their members a chance to fly without wings,” said Eric Anderson, Space Adventures President and CEO.
Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines or LOT Polish Airlines, will fly the Zero-Gravity sweepstakes winner and a companion to Moscow, Russia, where they will stay for two nights at a five-star hotel. The morning after their arrival in Moscow, the adventure will begin with an extensive briefing at the formerly top secret Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City. The winner will then float weightless aboard the Ilyushin-76 MDK, a jetliner specifically outfitted for parabolic flight. It is the only way to experience extended zero gravity without leaving Earth.
