San Diego-based L-3 Telemetry-West, a division of L-3 Communications, said Oct. 22 it had signed a contract with Lockheed Martin Space Systems of Sunnyvale, Calif., to provide software that will be used in factory testing of the next-generation GPS 3 satellites Lockheed is building for the U.S. Air Force.
Financial details were not disclosed, but L-3 said in a press release that it would be supplying a Command, Control, Communications, and Monitor system based on its InControl software product, which is used for satellite testing and on-orbit operations.
