Seventy-five used laptop computers from the Lockheed Martin-managed Outsourcing Desktop Initiative for NASA (ODIN) program have been donated to the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, Lockheed Martin said in an Oct. 20 press release.
During the first half of 2010, Lockheed Martin and NASA donated more than 7,800 computers through the ODIN program to schools, libraries, community learning centers and other organizations around the United States and the world.
Bethesda, Md.-based Lockheed Martin Corp. has been supplying personal computers to NASA centers for more than a decade under ODIN. Earlier this year, NASA extended Lockheed’s ODIN contract through October 2011 for an estimated delivery order value of approximately $230 million.
