The new web site for ESA’s Launchers Programme is now on line. Information is
given on every aspect of a launch, including the different elements that go
to make up an Ariane launcher; who makes them; what to see at Europe’s
spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana; and, of course, the launch campaign itself.

This information and much more can be found under four sections: About
launchers, Europe’s spaceport, Europe and launchers and Preparing for liftoff.
New animations have also been designed to enliven the site and illustrate these
different sections. See if you can construct an Ariane 5!

The new site contains information for all ages. One link takes visitors to a
Kid’s corner which describes launchers in a fun way while professional visitors
can link to the Ariane 5 catalogue, which gives details on the European
companies involved in making Ariane launchers and includes videos of an
Ariane-5 launch.

Want to check out this new site? Click on Launchers Programme or just select
Launchers under ESA Programmes on our home page.
