The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced that the launch of the 21st Scientific Satellite, ASTRO-F, by the M-V Launch Vehicle No. 8 (M-V-8) was postponed due to the adverse weather conditions. The launch was originally scheduled on 6:28 a.m., February 21 (JST).
The new launch date and time are as follows (All dates and time are in JST.)
- New scheduled launch day: February 22, 2006 (Wednesday)
- Launch time: 6:28 a.m.
- Launch window: February 23 thru 28, 2006
