MUSES-C, an engineering probe of the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS) was launched on May 9 by M-V launch vehicle No. 5 from the Kagoshima Space Center.
MUSES-C is a probe with highly motivated missions including inter-asteroid flight and sample return technology verification. It is scheduled to reach an asteroid called “1998SF36”, which is the main target of MUSES-C, in two years.
