Amos satellite fleet operator Spacecom of Tel Aviv, Israel, said Sept. 12 that it signed a long-term contract with Magyar Telekom to supply Hungarian direct-to-home (DTH) television broadcaster with more bandwidth. The agreement is worth up to $7 million and increases the total value of Magyar Telekom’s expansion with Amos this year to $14 million.
Magyar Telekom is a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. It broadcasts approximately 100 channels throughout Hungary via the T-Home SatTV service, which has 260,000 subscribers.
