Harris Corp. of Melbourne, Fla., has received a $165 million contract to provide personal and vehicular models of its Falcon 3 tactical satellite radios to the U.S. Army, according to an Oct. 16 Harris press release.

The Falcon 3 AN/PRC-117G is a Joint Tactical Radio System-approved line-of-sight voice and data radio that can be paired with Harris satellite terminals to use Inmarsat satellite services. The Army contract could be worth as much as $419 million, the release said.
