At about 6 a.m. EDT, officials decided to stand down today’s
launch of a Boeing Delta II rocket carrying NASA’s Genesis spacecraft,
due to adverse weather conditions including strong winds.

A 24-hour turnaround has been initiated with the next window of
opportunity on Friday, Aug. 3 at 12:23 p.m. EDT. Mission managers will
meet tonight to determine if the weather will permit a launch on
Friday.

Contact the Boeing Launch Hotline at 714/896-4770 for continued
updates.
