On July 26, at 23 hours 43 minutes Moscow Time, the Dnepr Launch vehicle was launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome. The rocket was to deliver 18 spacecraft into near-earth orbit, including BelKA earth remote sensing satellite made by RSC Energia. However, none to the satellite was delivered into orbit due to the launch vehicle accident in an initial flight phase.

MCC-M (city of Korolev, Moscow Region) commanded the launch of BelKA spacecraft. By telemetry information, all satellite onboard systems performed well to the point of the rocket fall.

BelKA spacecraft had been insured. The Belorussian side expressed a wish to order again the identical satellite at RSC Energia. There is a possibility of its repeated launch within next 1.5 years.
