Ottawa, May 15, 2000 – On Wednesday, May 17, Canadian Space Agency Astronaut
Marc Garneau will be guest speaker at the Ottawa Canadian Club.
On this occasion, Dr. Garneau will discuss life as an astronaut. He will
also speak about the International Space Station (ISS) and Canada’s
contribution to the project, as well as its benefits for Canadians. Dr.
Garneau will finally comment on his next mission, STS-97, scheduled for the
end of November 2000. It should be noted that this is Dr. Garneau’s last
public appearance in Canada, prior to his flight.
