Exhibit features a full-scale model of the industry’s only all-electric satellite

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 12, 2013 — Boeing [NYSE: BA] will showcase recent achievements in satellite technology, including the rapid delivery of the first 702 Medium Power satellite and the introduction of the 702 Small Platform satellite, at the Satellite 2013 Conference & Exhibition, March 18-21 in Washington.

“This year we are highlighting our track record of successful execution across our satellite families, including the revolutionary all-electric 702SP that we unveiled during last year’s conference,” said Craig Cooning, CEO, Boeing Satellite Systems International Inc.
The Boeing exhibit, located in Booth 6019 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, will feature a full-scale model of the 702SP satellite and displays showcasing current examples of technology advancements.

The company is sponsoring the Satellite Executive of the Year luncheon on March 20, featuring honoree Thomas Choi, CEO and co-founder of Asia Broadcast Satellite. Cooning will deliver the keynote address at the luncheon and premiere a video about recent accomplishments.

Additionally, Boeing is participating in two conference panel discussions. Steve O’Neill, president of Boeing Satellite Systems, will be part of a panel on “Satellite Manufacturing: Adapting to Serve New Paradigms.” Mark Skinner, senior scientist and technical manager for Boeing Laser & Technical Services, will speak on the panel “On-orbit Safety: Protecting Spacecraft and Serving Customers.”
